Redjackets

Rosco Jeppson has to die. 

But a man like that: a fine art dealer at the head of a massive organized crime ring (and a vampire at that) won't go down easy. But the Redjackets aren't your typical vampire hunting firm. In fact, they hardly "hunt" at all. 

The Redjackets (sometimes known as The Redjacket Association International, or, RJAI) have both humans and vampires in their employ, matching one of each to work in pairs to solve vampire-relations issues in a nonviolent manner if at all possible: be that mediation, brokering treaties, and creative problem solving. Only after all other avenues are exhausted is violence the answer. 

Because unfortunately, in Chicago's underworld: violence is sometimes the answer.

Only one thing is certain: Rosco Jeppson has to die. 

 But how?  

 That's up to you. 

Meet The (Three) Protagonists

Redjackets has three protagonists, each with their perspective, secrets, and interactions within the story. Choices made on your previous playthrough will be remembered should you go back and play through another character's story, later.

Declan and Lynette are going to find a way to kill Rosco Jeppson. And they think their ticket to doing so may lie in his recently-turned fledgling, a promising young painter by the name of Fiia Salo. If they can agree to get her to turn on him, that is...

Declan Hope

A highly-experienced human vampire hunter and current Lieutenant of the Chicago branch of the Redjackets, partnered with L. Baptiste. Known for his somewhat "old-school" methods, Hope has a very high success rate and kill count. After he became disillusioned with the profession, he almost left entirely before his recruitment to the Chicago Redjackets. During the day, Hope works as a professor of Slavic Studies and Folklore at Northwestern University in Evanston. He is well respected among his fellow hunters and Redjackets, but despised by the greater vampire community.

Lynette Baptiste

A highly-experienced vampire Redjacket and the current Redjacket Lieutenant of the Chicago branch, partnered with D. Hope. A retired senior detective with the Chicago PD, Baptiste's specialty comes from getting to the root of the situation in order to broker a nonviolent solution which benefits all parties. She was turned in the 1980s by a low-level criminal, and was recruited to RJAI  She is well respected by humans and vampires alike.

Fiia Salo

Fiia Salo is a recently-turned vampire and recent graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago's MFA program in painting. A talented artist, Fiia creates her own work but additionally took up a sub-specialty in painting restoration and conservation. This is what drew the eye of famous art dealer R. Jeppson, a powerful vampire who became her sire after promising her wealth and safety. But young and inexperienced, Fiia wandered into a trap set by D. Hope and L. Baptiste, who intended to recruit her to the Redjackets in order to bring R. Jeppson down.
